Cam oppositions for a 06

I am thinking about a cam , for fuel mileage. I tow some (12000 to 15000 lbs) some times. Is there anyone that has changed there cam that could tell me if it did help there mileage & how much , and what cam you got. I am getting around 650 to 700 miles on a tank(solo) Thanks

To be honest, if your getting 650 to 700 miles out of a tank, I'm not sure the cam is worth the expense, and labor, involved. With my setup, it did absolutely nothing for my mileage. I'm not saying it won't help on your truck, but it would probably take at least a couple of years to recoup the expense. I have the Helix 2.

my thoughts exactly. 650-700 per tank is already really good. the best i have ever seen is 645 and thats was unloaded.

Did anyone notice that he has an Aux tank? and the 650-700 miles is (SOLO) which I took that he is not loaded and not pulling a trailer. How big is the aux tank? Could be 100 gallon tank and getting really crappy mileage or a 30 gallon tank and getting great mileage. need more info please.

CBrahs You are reading well, but I have just put my aux. tank in. It is stile dry

ok, can we trade fuel mileage then? LOL!! I can only hope mine gets that good of mileage. I only have 1500 miles on mine so far and it is getting better but i have not gone a long trip either. 99% of my driving is in town so 14ish is normal for mine so far.

Also my manual locking hub got me 1. 75 mpg. better too!
