I just put a #3 plate from Jannetty's in a friend,s ' 97 auto 4x4 flatbed, we are going to adjust the star wheel today its not smoking on acceler. and not smoking hardly at all. What is this on full forward, centered, full backward on the cam plate, and how much is too smoke for acceleration quality for good tuning??? His truck has 4" exhaust, cold air kit, gauges, boost orfice in turbo.

Full forward on both. I disconnected/pulgged my wastegate years ago when i got a boost gage. I try to keep it at 40PSI or less.

Well I put 65 clicks into that wheel and it finally spun the tires over just alittle, puffed some black smoke and left, but did not smoke under acceleration ANY, boost is 25 lbs, hits pretty fast and falls off about 4 lbs then climbs back. Any help thanks

Turn it so its all the way to the front of the engine and try it and then go the other way till you find the place you are happy with. Most of us run it all the way forward.

were gonna move the cam plate full forward and readjust the wheel, will try it full forward as well, what does moving the cam plate full forward or back or centered do for it?? Going to get the AFC spring kit from Jannetty's, he's already ordered it.

we will check this, we moved the plate full forward and the star wheel, but since we put the cam plate in I believe his convertor is slipping, actually seems to pull alittle harder if you dont get up in it all the way. Thanks for the info on the lever
