My 01 keeps throwing cam pos. code and Tach. quits for a minute then restarts. Where is the sensor located and can I change it out

Sensor is located in front timing housing just above the vp44.

Can be changed with the pump in place but is much easier with pump removed.

I always change them when changing the vp just for insurance and much easier and relatively cheap sensor.

It is below the VP-44 and is a pain in the butt to get to unless you remove the injection pump or vacuum pump, try disconnecting the wires going to it and reconnecting them, mine was just the connection and not the sensor.
