I live in Michigan City, Indiana not too far from the RV/camper haven of Elkhart and its surrounding areas. I see a ton of Dodge Rams and other makes everyday delivering new campers up and down the major highways (US 20 and 2, I-94, Toll Road). Everytime I see a Ram I wonder if the owner is a member of the TDR. Are there any of you guys on here? I was thinking about delivering on a part time basis.

Part time hauling, you probably wont make any money! I'm sure some seasoned professionals will chime in here and fill you in more on the ins and outs of the busisness!!

I am one of those guys and I'm a TDR member:)

I am leased to Horizon. They have details on how to become a driver for them on their website. I think that they require you to do at least one trip per month to stay activated. They also pay a reduced pay rate to low volume contractors.

I would be glad to answer questions, if you have any.

Yeah I drive part time for Quality Drive Away. They're out of Goshen, IN. Huge outfit. They have over 350 owner ops and they STILL can't move all that product off that lot the way they want to. The only thing I don't like about them is they give all of their Florida stuff to retirees out of there, so they can haul something back home.

I wouldn't mind a little Florida action every now and then.

I am a specialized hauler for them as I have a CDL AND a bombed Cummins. The biggest rigs out of there go to me. I recently delivered to Tacoma (up Fourth of July AND Snoqualamie) one of the biggest RVs ever manufactured. I was grossed out at about 27000 pounds!
