leveling the 4x4 3500 05

I'm anal, and a worry wort !

I am looking at buying a 5th wheel. What would you guys recommend. I have looked at forset river and cedar creek and holiday rambler? I need help. :)

Mine's a Yukon Wilderness by Fleetwood, it has served us well. Rather than get into a bashing contest (my brand is better than your brand) I suggest that you find a reputable repair shop that is NOT affiliated with any dealer. Talk to the service people and see what units come in with problems and what are those problems. This way you can see if a brand you are considering what is you want. Also ask them about warranty repairs and how easy/hard is it to get them approved by the manufacturer. Good luck

camper choice

Deepens on what you want to pay? Both trailers are good. We have a 04 32 ft Sprinter and love it,had a few problems but are fixed now. The biggest thing about buying your trailer is the dealer. Ask other people about dealer!!!!!!

good luck :)

Holiday Rambler are a good RV, but they are spendy. Forest River made campers are okey for the money, but they are not known for quality. Anything made by Fleetwood are junk. Talk to the people who repair RV's, but don't sell them, they can tell you quality from junk.

One thing I believe is really important and that is how well will the mfr stand behind his product. This is very difficult to get to. I am a full time RV'er and after listening to a few folks, I would be my position that a privately held RV mfr will give better service than a publically held company. However, that will reduce your options drastically. But one thing for sure, don't buy an RV simply because it has a great interior. Quality of construction is the number one thing and how well the mfr will stand behind his product. Good luck. For whatever it is worth, look at a used Alpenlite. New ones are pricey. I have lived in two of them pulled over 50,000 trouble free miles. These are great units.

looking

I can second the suggestion to look at Alpenlite. I am towing my 3rd Alpenlite & know several people who are towing their 3rd, 4th & even 5th units. I have found them to be well constructed & the factory support is really good.

Here is another thought. There is a publication, which is updated annually, which evaluates just about all of the RV,es which are out there. I have heard great reports on it's accuracy. It is pricy arounbd $50 but well worth the cost. The only problem is that I can't remember the name of it but you might find it on the web. Maybe there is someone out there who does know the name

You might want to look at Jayco, Sunnybrook, or NuWa. NuWa is rather high end though. But I don't think you could go wrong with a Jayco or Sunnybrook.

Good luck

We have a 2005 Cedar Creek and have been very happy with it. The few problems we've had have been very minor.

That said, I agree with the others that a rig is only as good as the servicing dealer. We've had some problems with our dealer (just trying to schedule service), that can make a great product seem like a pain.

Talk to lots of people about their dealer experience. That should help you make a choice.
