Camper help

I just purchased a Lance slide in camper. The problem is that I have a 1 ton 4x4 truck which sits very high in the back. The jacks just touch the ground, is there a way to install extensions on these jacks or lower the truck?

You could also carry blocks around. My Lance reaches on my 2002 4wd, but I'm near the extension limit of the jack. I put blocks down for comfort really.

The jacks reach on ours, but the blocks help keep a little more overlap on the jack legs. They also help if the ground is a little soft by spreading out the weight and keeping the jack leg feet clean. The blocks are 1-1/8 plywood 3 layers thick stepping down from 16" to 10" to 5" . The blocks can also be used to drive up on the help level the truck/camper as well.

Do you have electric jacks? I have Atwoods and they work fine.

That's what I have, in order for me to load or unload I have to use blocks.

Maybe atwoods newer jacks have longer shafts.

My Atwoods will lift the camper off the truck without blocks also. Maybe they are longer.
