Exprience with Pilgrim Legend 5'er

Other than they are expensive, I have seen 7k rated aluminum trailers... tandem axle, 16-footers. IIRC, they weighed around 1200#s...

I ran into this same deal... wanted to run my slidein (around 1500#s) and tow a fullsize pickup on my 10k-rated trailer... while I was going to be under the GCVW, I would have been overweight on the rear axle. I have since decided to rent a cabin when I get there... it was going to be a trip from PA to Moab, UT.

My brother-in-law has been doing the pop-up slide-in and Jeep on a trailer for years using his first gen, ext cab, long bed with auto. Loves it. His pop-up slide-in doesn't not have wet bath provisions, but he haul's two kids.

I've been doing some digging on the same topic and was also concerned about rear axle and truck GVW. Most hard sides I have found with a toilet/shower run at least 1500 dry or 1800-2000 wet. I did come across these that were interesting: http://www.hallmarkrv.com/controller/home?_load=default#

Sun-lite and Polamino still make pop-up slide-ins with all kinds of options that would be worth checking into also.
