DTT won't stand behind RASP pump?

I have been testing a new cam grind and have noticed some things, this is on my current set up, With the old 62/14 LDP and the boost wastegated at 53psi I would see high temps at 1450* and it would spool at 1400rpms and was off to the races at 1500rpm's and would hold boost at 52psi at WOT, now with the cam and a 64/14LDP I see 1600* at 52psi boost and then it falls to 46psi at WOT and the turbo starts to spool at 1500rpms and is gone by 1600rpms, so ... ...

Is the Cam helping spool up and not EGT's, or is it having problems and not working at all. Do all of you with aftermarket cams see a loss in egts or are some of you only seeing a help in the spoolup department... Driveability is good but egt's aren't going down and the set up isn't making anymore power still about 512hp on #2. Have dynoed before and after. Sorry so long. Just lookingb for input since this is a beta type cam and not a commercially sold version, it is a regrind.

Dont know but if I went thru all the hassle of a cam change and didnt see a change I would be not happy.

After market cam = more lift / more duration ?

Would have to spool faster and cool better ?

Cam timing OFF ?

Turbo cant move enough air now ?

I have seen this before with some regrinds.

The cam timing can get out of sync with the power cycle. Not that common, but it does happen. It's always best to start from a new hardened blank as well.

With my Helix2 WOT temps dropped 200 degrees, helped spool, lowered smoke, lowered peak boost 2 lbs and increased the HP range. I could only control heat up to about 2600 rpm precam, after the cam, it had lungs to spin well past 3300rpm.

Besides, it drives the mechanical pump!

Is there any way you got the fuel injection pump or cam gear off a tooth during installation?

I don't have nearly the HP that you have, and I'm not racing but this is my observation with a PDR cam. Spool up is about the same, no increase in power, the torque curve dropped back to where it was before I advanced my timing and I get 1 to 2 mpg better mileage. It paid for itself in about 50,000 miles. There was a slight decrease in towing EGTs.

I think the spool up is there, and the fuel mileage seems to be up but our area just finished the transition to USLSD and it is about the same as before. It is the slight raise in EGT's that worries me and there is the loss of boost on top end at higher rpms 3000 rpms + and it shouldn't be defueling in that range with the TST Comp. , so I am also wondering about valve float yet I only make 53psi tops? Well a new grind came in and I will be trying it next week, these cams are trying some new tricks and not copying anyone elses grinds so it could take some experimenting.
