Cams?

Is a cam really worth it? Does say the Helix 2 or some of its competitors cams in that range really give a great impact? I'm on the fence and need a push also any thoughts about Fluidampers on 2nd gens? My balancer is coming apart and wondering if they are worth the m oney or should I buy another stocker?
