Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) can a VA and a edge comp box be stacked

can a VA and a edge comp box be stacked. I am guessing no without problems, I saw it on someones signature... . maybe they just updated it incorrectly.

the old va box plugged right into the back of the vp44 pump and the ez plugs into the data link and map sensor, so yes it could be done.

The comp taps the wire too. I don't think you can double tap the wire.

The VA doesn't tap the wire (atleast not the old style).

If you have the old style VA that plugs into the VP44 the answer is yes, I know this first hand.

would there be any benefit/ drawback from stacking these boxes? wouldn't timing be too advanced?

Timing would definitely be on the aggressive side. I'd only consider it if you are running empty. DO NOT TOW with such a configuration-- you could melt a piston even with normal EGT, and a HG might not like the idea.
