My good friend emailed me today with the following message.
" I think I have a TPS or boost sensor or something acting up, because when I accelerated from a dead stop making a left turn into traffic the RPM’s would not pick up. I’m talking like the truck ran out of fuel and was not able to build boost and then finally it started to accelerate. This is not even close to turbo lag. I know and you know what turbo lag feels like and this was not it. I returned home and checked to see if the truck would accelerate under load by power braking. I mashed the peddle to the floor and nothing, well a slight increase in RPM, but not what should have happened. I tried it again for a longer period and finally the boost came up and the tires broke free. This is truly bizarre for me. I don’t remember if this has happened once before or not, but I have got to find the problem. Way to dangerous to drive around thinking you have all this power and then nothing when you really need it. "
I have only had a 24V for 2 months, so not at all familiar with its different problems. Told him I would post it on the TDR and see if anybody can help. His truck is a 2000 2500 4X4 auto. He has 275RV injectors, a VA stacked with the old Blue Chip box running at 15% and a Walker Airsep. I would appreciate any suggestions.
