Open to Suggestion...Rigging truck in trailer

Camparison Test? Really?

well cheyenne is only about an hour and a half from denver so maybe someone can get it from there to denver , and wcaldwell could get it the rest of the way?

Well if no one from Cheyenne can get it to Denver if the timing is right I could go up to get it and then the wife can still take it down to ALBQ when she goes down the 27th. It would have to be a weekend day and I am going to be out of town 16/17 so the best day would be Sat/23rd in the am but Sun/24th could work too. It would have to sit in the back of my truck for the few days but if its ok with you its ok with me. If that works let me know.

This weekend Sun/13th could work too if need be. If that is the case let me know I will get a hold of Colorado Diesel and maybe they can let it sit at their shop until the 27th when the wife goes down.

I went to the "Official Distances" Web site and found that Cheyenne is 550; Denver is 450; and Amarillo is 300 miles from Albuquerque.

Cheyenne would pretty much mean an overnight stay - I don't mind. I could probably make Denver a 1-day round trip, and Amarillo would be an easy 1-day run. Y'all let me know which one you want to get that motor to. I'll do any one of the three. I'm also trying to get in touch with Mark Duffey - the Chaplain at Universy Hospital here in Albuquerque to set up a delivery date and time.

Cheers

Hello everyone. I got the truck together. Will try to leave Chicago by noon. I'll have a cell phone w/me and if I don't hear from Nathan before I leave I'll try to call him along the way. If all goes well I will get to Cheyenne about 3am Sun. MST.

Nathan, that would put me where we were going to meet at approx. 7pm CST.

Ok - the engine is on it's way to Cheyennne. What's the plan - will it be left at the garage in Cheyenne, is someone going to take the engine from Cheyenne to Denver, or do I need to fire up the beast and head out to Cheyenne? If I go to Cheyenne or Denver, the soonest I could be there would be around 12:00 to 2:00 Sunday Afteroon.

Well, I guess I'll be staying home this weekend since I have no idea what I'm supposed to do, where to go (Cheyenne or Denver), and where to meet anyone if I did go, nor who to call to arrange any kind of meeting. If there's any changes, either post them here or send me a PM. I'll check after church tomorrow. I will be available again to go next weekend (16 and 17 Nov), but after that, like so many other people, I'll be tied up for Thanksgiving and other obligations.

Where is it?

Is the engine in CYS?

I am going to have to go to CYS to get my 5er ready to sell. It is at my daughters. I could pickup the engine and bring to Castle Rock. . I don't have to go right away ,so could plan it when it would work for others.

No luck yet

Hello all. Here is an update. The motor is still at my place. The family and I was away all day Saturday with the wife's big birthday party. I had no idea that glhs would be leaving a day or two early, otherwise I could have taken it with me because I was close to his route.

Big bummer:( I will just have to see if anything else can be worked out before the 23rd. Thanks to all those that have offered to help. Better luck next time.

still no luck

Hello all.

Still no delivery yet. Unfortunate schedule conflicts on both ends have still delayed this. Maybe someone is travelling early for the holidays and can help us out?

It's December 7th... Let's all pause a moment to reflect in rememberance upon the many lives of America's finest that were killed at Pearl Harbor.
