Once again I'm turning to all of you for your experience and knowledge! A friend ownes a 2000, 2500, 4X4. 3:54, LB, AT, Sport CDT (stock). He is from FL and tows his BBQ trailer all over the southeast. (He just moved there, but never fear he was born in Chattanooga, TN. Man can he BBQ!) Anyway, He asked me if my truck (see Sig. ) is doing anything like he describes... After towing, his BBQ trailer is covered with a black, oderless, tasteless, waterylike substance that's making a mess of his cookers and trailer. (After helping him at a number of BBQ contests, I can attest to this guys pension for keeping his cooker clean. ) He says that a dealer claims it's something he's doing. He says its not oily but actually "puddles" on his trailer. It is on the side of his exhaust pipe. He doesn't feel its the A/C because it happens with the A/C on or off. I asked him if it could be condensation from the exhaust, but he doesn't think so. Anyone got any ideas, or know what might be the cause?? I'm leaning toward exhaust but will the CDT produce such a large amount of moisture in FL heat? Or, could there be something else going on? He says all of his fluid levels are where they should be. Thanks for your help.
