I am learning to work on my own truck when I can, but I would like to get some recommendations for a good shop when something I can't (or don't want to) handle comes up.

I live in Lake Stevens which is about 40 minutes north of Seattle.

Thanks,

I am looking for a general repair shop. I am new to CTD's (or any other diesel for that matter) and I am not a very experianced wrencher either. there will be times when I will be unable to fix something, and I want to find a reliable, skilled mechanic that I can go to.

Would this Dynomite Diesel Performance be what I am looking for, or are they mostly a customizing joint? Have you had any experiance with them?

Thanks for replying!

Scott---Dynomite Diesel Performance is mainly a performance shop and well known for their injectors. Take a look at their website. Give them a call and ask what services they provide and what their shop rate is. You might be surprised to find out that their rate isn't any higher than that of other shops---I really don't know. Also, they may be able to recommend a quality shop closer to you or even in their area for a job that they would not want to do. Also, Cummins NW has a shop in Renton, WA. Don't know if they do both parts and service there, or how close you are to them. Go to cumminsnw.com. Get their 800 number and give them a call.

No offense to the previous poster... . DDP does ALL areas of work, maintenance, repair and performance. They do work on all makes of diesels too, not just Cummins. Lenny, Evan and Pete are all top notch wrenches.

Monroe is just a short drive from Lake Stevens, while Cummins NW is 45 miles away.

DDP is an outstanding shop, great service, knowledge and experience. Another cool thing, if you have them do any performance upgrades, they include a run on their in-house dyno!

Do not go to Dynamic in Snohomish, there was a lengthy thread on NW Bombers about their "service".

I wish I read your post about Dynamic in Snohomish earlier... I went in today to have my fuel filter replaced... Long story short... Very bad experiance!

I will try Monroe next time!

Thanks,
