I have three Cummins Powered Pickups, but they ain't stock

I get just about as sick of people saying Cummings as I do people saying ford owns Cummins. I saw a sticker on a truck the other day that said "Yeah, its got a Cummings"

From what I have been told when I've been at training for work Mercedes-Benz is the largist Big truck manufacturor in the world. They own, Detroit Diesel, Western Star, Freightliner, Sterling, and of course the Bnez line overseas. They said to get the Dealership network for the Benz line would be to expensive, so they bought Freightliner, and will slowly convert things over.

Theodore Solso owns quite a bit of Cummins himself. SO does Joe Loughery. Since I own a 30,000$ cummins truck, does that meand that I own 30,000$ in shares???? Oo. I wish!

had a conversation with another CTD owner this morning , who believed very ademently that "ford owns cummins" and he was glad that he'd gotten his 04' because ,and I quote, "05 will be the last year you can get the cummins in a dodge , they are goin to the mercedes-benz" ... ... . he was quite shure of him self , so i just bit my tounge and let it go , mainly because he was doin some work on the house for us. where do they come up with this stuff ? :-laf

They come up with it over on the dieselstop.com and then all the ford guys pass it around, and then it becomes fact.

I had a guy tell about a month ago the same thing you heard. He didnt buy a powerstroke, because in 06 ford is going to use the cummins, so it obviously is better than the psd. I told him i didnt thinks so, and he said that he knew for a fact that ford owns cummins, so he didnt see why not.

We are starting to get alot of Freightliners with Merc diesels in em here at Sacramento County. I think they are the default engine if you don't spec something different.

Detroit Diesel (owned by Daimler Chrysler) is a partner with Navistar and they have worked hard to build problems into the Power Stroke as a payback for all the Ford owns Cummins rumors,

My Dad has been telling me that Ford owns Cummins for years now and that it was "just a matter of time" before Ford started running Cummins engines in their trucks "as soon as the Dodge contract with Cummins runs out". I just took him at his word and never looked into it. Now I see it's all a bunch of BS. He's a PowerStroke owner and he thought he had a great truck, until I bought my Dodge and drove him around Oklahoma and Texas in it for a few days. Guess what he wants now??? He fell in love with the Dodge and can't stop talking about it . He has a 6 speed manual transmission in his Ford and can't get over how much better mine (NV5600) shifts. Quiet engine, longevity, great truck design, room to work under the hood, cheaper to buy, nothing else to be said.



No, I don't work for DC and this is the first Dodge I've ever owned. Wouldn't trade it for another Ford or GM .

im stationed with a bunch of ford lovers. i argue with them all the time about this. a guy im stationed with said he going to buy a 2002 ford. he said after he gets it he wants to hook them up so he can pull me around the parking lot. i just laugh at him.

You won't find any 800 hp powerstrokes.

Maddog gave up on his ps in 2001 when Sickly (my 97) made 609 on #2 with one turbo (HX55) and MD was more than 100 short using propane and nitrous on his 7. 3 ps. I still have the videos of that Dyno Day, where Keith, Lawrence, Piers, and Psychostroker pretended to push my 97 onto the dyno, since he was too sickly to climb up on his own Remind your bunch of ford lovers how Maddog is now running a Cummins in his Ford.

Yep, paid $42 for mine Unfortunatly I already sold enough to recover my initial investment
