Thinking about doing 50hp Dynomite Diesel injectors in my wifes '06 MegaCab. Mainly for fuel mileage increase because she commutes in it. I don't want to add a programmer/chip. Just injectors. But can the dealer or DC detect them if something happened. I understand how DC can find anything, but would they go looking for modified injectors if they couldn't find any electronic footprint?

they can only detect injectors if they pull them out. . :-laf

i have 100hp inj with no box now and they cant tell the difference

I am pretty sure anybody would notice a 50hp gain

When I had my 02 2500, I purchased 120 hp Bully Dog injectors from the dealer and had them install them. They warrentied two transfer cases after that and several little other things. I really believe that it really depends on the dealer if they are going to warranty your truck with added power. I belive with the other replies that only DC can detect them is to dyno or do a visual inspection. I would go with the injectors first if I could go back and do my truck over again

They mightr only say something if they had to pull the injectors. If the injector looks the same they won't really be able to tell. Some people have the factory injectors drilled out, then they normally can't tell at all. The truck will run a little rough if they replace a injector, then you have to take the replacement to the shop that did the work and have it drilled out.

It may smoke a bit more but I'd say go for it!

My 50hp DDP injectors ended up as 83hp. They also smoke less and provide a smoother idle. Mileage went up about . 5mpg. The biggest mileage improvement was the cold start reflash.

Yes, the dyno run before is bone stock. Second run shown on graph is injectors only. When I say injectors only it was still on the factory provided intake and exhaust. No other improvements. Truck remained strapped to the dyno during injector install. Ambient temp changed a little. That can't be controlled.
