Can engine vibrations destroy an Air compressor?

I may have found an after market company doing direct engine bolt on air compressors. I can't believe how much violent shaking happens when the Mighty Cummins is shut down. This shaking looks like it could easily destroy most bolt on engine accessories. This is especially true of a product that may work fine on a gasoline powered application.

What do you guys think? Is there a compressor out there already?

Tractor trailer engines use a direct bolt on/gear driven compressor unless they've changed. Those things run forever. I'm surprised Cummins doesn't have one for the B5. 9.

Cummins does have an air compressor for the "B" engine. It mounts where our vacuum and p/steering pumps are. In this application the p/s pump mounts to the rear of the air compressor and has a separate reservior. Ford then uses an electric vacuum pump to supply vacuum for the a/c controls.

Where can I find one of these air compressors? I've looked but all I can find are electric models. I like the belt drive model better.

It may be that onbaord air(http://www.onboardair.com/) has one for our RAM soon. Belt driven.
