My buddy has a set of "E" rated Toyo Open Countrys on his truck. I think they are 37"s on 20" or 19" rims. But I've also seen a lot of monster tires in the "E" range lately..... Jim

Depends on how big you're going! Toyo makes the M55 in a 10-ply in the 285/70-16. I'd be careful of the Open Countrys as they don't seem to keep their tread long on the Dodge/CTD, but they may be better in the bigger sizes.

Nitto makes a terra grappler in a 305-70-16 (32. 6" tall) I have a set of those, and so far I love em. I have 12K on them with not much wear. :)

Toyo makes quite a few E rated tires, the m/t's in 35's, 37's, etc.

There are quite a few other out there.

I was thinking Nitto was making them or was it Toyo?

UMmmmm - "bigger" than what?

I just put 2 new Carlisle 10 ply E rated tires on our 5er in a 225 x 7. 5 x 15 size at Les Schwab - dunno what other sizes they might also have available...

probably 285/75-16's will be your best bet. only problem is, 285's are kinda hard to find in E's. 305's may fit, if your lucky. mine rubbed slighty on the control arms.

so, you may just wanna stick to a 265: easy to find in an E, guaranteed fit, readily available.

My rear OEM Michelins are starting to get thin - and checking with the local Les Schwab tire store, they have the Toyos in a 285 size in a 10 ply...

We're running Denman Coyote 305/85R16 on stock rims w/ stock height suspension. They will rub a little on the front trailing arms at full lock & just barely touch the back on the plastic inner fender liners on tight turns. Runnin' down the road, they don't rub at all. No problems on the rear at all. They're a load range E (10 ply) & so far we have 50K on the tires w/ more mileage left.

These Coyotes fill the fender wells nicely & ride nicely, even when aired to max psi.

There was an issue a while back with availability, but that is no longer an issue. We get ours at Discount Tire. We've seen these same tires on other stock & lifted Dodges.

My list of E rated 16" bigger tires includes:

Nitto Terra Grappler in 305/70

Toyo M/T in 285/75, 305/70, and 315/75

Denman Coyotes in 305/85

Toyo M55 in 285/75

That's about all I could find for the stock 16x8 wheels.
