Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Can I use a K&N filter cleaning kit on my AFE?

I bought the K&N for my old truck and barely used it. It would be a shame to have to spend 25 bucks on an AFE cleaning kit if I don't need to. It's probably a dumb question, but there shouldn't be any major differences between the two besides oil color right? Thanks for the input.

It will functionally work, however AFE's oil is different and it will also color your filter a pretty funny color etc.

Yes but they mention a mass airflow sensor... ... ... ... ... ... CUMMINS ENGINES DONT HAVE A MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR LMAO!!!! SO I think it would be ok.

I use K&N oil on mine & for a cleaner I use Castrol super clean 50/50 with water. Works great
