Ken,

Due to the principle of reciprocity, you shouldn't. If you are legally licensed in Arizona, you should be OK in California so long as you are a visiting non-resident and are not driving commercially.

COngration on the toy hauler, I was looking at 48 footer with a living space, the trailer weight was 8000 empty, plus my 5000 pound 1942 Packard Limo. Hated to pass it up as it was going to be a storage trailer 90% of the time. but the tongue weight really look high when the trailer was empty.

cheers from Saudi arabia.

Oh great, another reason to visit the DMV, my wallet starts hurting everytime I walk into that office.

As for the new toy, I got a new 33' Nomad Rampage 327. It came with all of the good utility stuff I wanted including the bigger ducted AC, 25 gallon fuel tank with pump for the bikes, 5kw generator, 16" wheels, outdoor speakers, and lights and 110 plugs everywhere. The thing that it was missing is some of the pretty/fluffy stuff that many more luxurious trailers come with, but the wife wants to decorate it herself anyway (as long as it matches diamond plate ;) ) I had the axles flipped which put the rig at a perfect match with my truck, and leaves me with plenty of clearance for when I drag it out into the desert.

Here's the only picture I have so far... ... .

I was considering buying a 40 ft. 5th wheel with sliders recently, from my Uncle who wasn't using it, he was going to give me a good deal. I started to investigate and realized it was way too much trailer for my truck, 96' 2500.

I have now ordered a new truck, but am still going to pass on the 40 footer due to the fact that most of the camp sites have a 32' limit. All state of Calif. parks have this rule, I have also been told that National forests and parks also have this limit. I have friends who have 34 and 36 footers who have been turned away trying to pull into camp sites... So when I get my trailer it will definitely be 32' or less.

just out of curiosity how many questions is the CDL test I took the sample test on the dmv site and it seemed a little too easy...
