Thanks so much for the offer, but I went ahead and installed the Dodge substitution ('07.5) pump with the larger shaft and one of the pulleys that cross references to the original part #, but has the larger bore. Everyone and their brother stocks that part. I am so tired of smelling like ATF +4, not to mention cleaning and degreasing the engine bay... I can't stand the thought of messing with the power steering again any time soon...FPollard,
I located the pulley your are looking for in my pile of Dodge steering parts.....
The catch: I marked it bent? some years ago. It may be fine, it could have been the shaft on the steering pump
Part 53034166AA
The inner bore mikes out at .632
I would be happy to ship it out to you, just PM me your address.
Tom
Yes, same it has the same 3 bolt pattern and pulley diameter. Its not a problem as long as you don't have a bent pulley since if your original pump goes out you can get a remanufacturered pump of the original style from just about any parts store (the reservoir tanks are different and the newer style pumps have a bolt on cover on the back side). According to a couple of VERY hard to find mentions in forums, some time after the '07.5 came out, someone at Dodge decided they liked the pump they used on the newer trucks better and decided to retroactively make the change to the parts market for all of the 3rd Gens. I guess they forgot about the rebuild market for the pumps and apparently the aftermarket pulley manufacturers just switched to the new bore size. I am really surprised that Dorman, who supplies the remanufactured old pumps, new pumps and pulleys that only fit the newer pumps didn't mention it to their retailers...I am confused are the 6.7 pumps a direct bolt on fit for the 5.9s
