Single Tank SVO??

i just replaced my lp and still having the same problems which everyone is telling me it's the vp. so now i have a an extra lp which i want to use in extracting wvo from restrauant waste containers.

the goal is to pull up to a waste container and drop a hose in, put the other end in my container and plug in the pump to the power outlet in the cab.

is the carter pump compatible w/ wvo?

will it work with that viscosity?

should i remove (assuming i can) the screens on the inside or will that ruin the pump?

this is important to me since i have five rest. available for the pickings and as many 275gal containers for storage as i can fill.

my goal is to strain for my rabbit and bio for the truck and sell the rest.

thanks in advance

I would think by leaving the filters in you would quickly plug the pump and burn it up. someone on this site suggested go to the junk yard and find a vacuum pump off an old caddy it's cheap and strong will pump like crazy. Anyway that is what he uses to transfer wvo. I will try it in a couple of months, sounds good to me . good luck oh don't sell extra fuel the "G" men will be after you pronto ,selling fuel is an exclusive privelege given to the five major oil companies. It has something to do with taxes.

Hey southpaw, I think i told you guys about the caddy pump, However i use it to pull down a bladder tank and suck the oil into the tank, it never goes through the vacuum pump.

Mstephenson if you try to use your old lp to collect 275 galllons of wvo you better be on vacation, cause it will take you a loooong time. Go here

This is what i started out with, works really good. Just find a well driller, they put in new tanks all the time and scrap the old ones.

No, your LP won't work, or if it does it won't for long.

The vacuum pump method seems to be getting alot of positive feedback.
