can one put 36 gals in a 35 gal fuel tank?

How long to install vent mod ?

Whats the average install time for the vent mod ?

Depending on how fast you work and if you have help, I would estimate about 4 hours. Some have done it in 1 hour with help, and some have taken 6 when they took their time.

I use the same pump before and after the vent mod, so assuming any error is constant, it would not be a factor.



The vent mod allows me to fill the tank faster and put 3-4 more gallons in than before.



Best mod I've done and the cheapest too! It took me about 4 hours. If I had to do it again, I bet it would take two hours tops.

A tip for those with airbags is to put about 75+psi in the bags and it really helps to get to the connections on top of the tank.

I installed my vent kit this weekend. It went real smooth. Except for disconnecting one of the fuel lines. It took about half an hour to disconnect the fuel line. Total time was 2. 5 hours. I think airing up the airbags helped allot. Directions were very detailed and precise. After install I went and filled up. I was able to put in 37. 8 gallons, very quickly... ... ... ... ... .....

Most tanks are rated higher than what they are advertised at (I think it's req. by law but could be wrong). Has to do with expansion and proper venting.

I drove mine 100 miles after the fuel light came on and put in 40. 6 gal( full to the top of the neck). I must have been close to empty.

Just filled my truck today, because the National news is saying that fuel prices are going much higher due to hurricane Rita than it did due to hurricane Katrina. My fuel light had just come on and in the past when it come on it will take 31 gals of diesel. Today it took 36 plus gals. I did fill it to the very top. Are fuel pumps always calibrated? Or did I get victimize by my local Service Station?

I can sure put $90. 00 in mine though I dont remember the gallons
