2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Can price - 97?

This is one for the Canadian members. I am trying to determine what my truck is worth as a private sale. I want to be fair, but my dealer is not going to give me an honest answer.



97 SLT Laramie Reg cab diesel 5 spd trans 4. 10 lsd, black, sliding rear window, camper package, 4 wheel antilock, power seat, towing mirrors, fog lamps, very clean condition 117,000 kilometers (72,000 miles) and is in excellent mechanical condition and has guages and RS9000 shocks. This has been an excellent truck. I also have a fifth wheel hitch and flow through tailgate installed.



The Canadian pricing sites are for dealers mainly. So would appreciate any thoughts from Canadian members. I am sure that it will be at least two months for my new truck to come in so I want to take my time and get the best possible price for my current truck.

Mine's not a direct comparison so I don't know how much it'll help but...



'96 ext cab, 4x4, 5 gear, camper pkg, air, 40/20/40 cloth seats, 180k kms very little towing.



I paid 20k and put tires, rad, front shoes and stabiliser links on (myself) after I bought it. I knew this truck well which is a good part of the reason I bought it.



I tried to find another for comparison but had a hard time finding an ext. cab stick 4x4 '96 or '97 in SW Ontario. Pick up a truck trader and check it out for comparison, you'll be surprised how few there are like it which also makes it worth something .



Also note, Arthur Dodge prices seemed pretty steep.

Thank you everyone for your input. I think I am in the ballpark in my asking price. The dealer is going to appraise it on Thursday night. Probably tell me it isn't worth a diime over $9,000. 00. Casey
