Today I took apart my AFC and removed every thing inside and before i did this i was getting 50psi boost but now i can only get 45psi 48 if Im lucky why would I get less boost I always thought that it would give more or at least not less. Thanks for any replies

If you removed the diaphragm it may be possible that you created a vacuum leak.

If you didn't already do it, try plugging the hose that sends the boost pressure to the housing.

My AFC and I are very well aquainted at this point (long story), at any rate you say you took it apart. This I would assume means taking the diaphram off and perhaps tinkering with the pre-boost screw as well. I found that it takes very little and suttle changes to either one of these two elements to change things. You may want to re-visit these two areas. Just my $. 02 worth. Good luck.

turbo

Im still running the stock hx35 for the time being, and yes I took the diarham out I took everything out there is nothing in there its hollow. I didnt turn any scews other than the ones to take the back of the AFC off.

Pressure over 35 psi is hurting power. Over that pressure and it is off its "chart" and just heating the air more. I would readjust to put it in the mid 30's and relieve unnecessary stress.
