2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Can the Factory CD radio play cd-r or cd-rw?

Mine will skip with a lot of factory CDs, but will play fine with the "archived" CDs I burn. Go figure.

Mine worked with Sony Brand only. Didn't work worth beans with any other brand. So I upgraded.

I would say that 98% of my music is MP3's and copied CD's... my stock infinity system in the truck would NOT play a burnt CD in any format or from different computers unless it was on a Sony or Memorex music (black colored ones) CD-R discs... . any other brand and they would not play...



It drove me nuts and was going to get expensive to switch all my CD's to those two brand discs... besides most of my music is in MP3 format...



I switched the head unit out for a Clarion one that will play MP3's in MP3 formant, DVD-R's, CD-R's CD-RW's or anything in standard WAV format...
