All we need is a plane with enough power to accelerate the rotation of the earth under the athmosphere thus creating the necessary airflow over the wings without the wheels turning. Although, that would throw off the GPS navigation and cause the pilot to have to reset his watch![]()

Assume 100% traction
Can the plane take off?
SRadke said:You said there is no wind. You didn't say I couldn't make my own wind:-{}

SRadke said:Not much. I tried it once when I blew the intake elbow off my turbo. Had a vacuum in the intake the whole drive home and the power was sick.
SRadke said:A leaf blower would have been nice. Especially with a little shot of NOS! A naturally aspirated 5. 9 diesel just aint enought for a heavy pickup IMHO.

Imagine an airplane is on the beginning of a massive conveyor belt, as wide and as long as a runway, and intends to take off. The conveyer belt is designed to exactly match the speed of the wheels at any given time, moving in the opposite direction of rotation.
