Ok i have had an issue for years with my AC stopping... it will blow cold air often,,,but not consistently. For instance it will come on and blow for maybe 15-20 min but all of a sudden it will stop... . checking at the compressor when this happens and sure enough it is not engauged.

I have had it to several places,,,,and the system has been serviced and is fully charged,,,and it will blow 38 degree air when working... . the last guy sent me this note... .

Tested OBDII System, found failure code P1693 MIL FAULT in companion module, and PO236 Boost Pressure Fails,,,Found PCM failure Codes P1765 PCM to Trans Volt relay circuit open or shorted, and PO 743 TCC soleonid open or shorted. He went on to say that these can turn the AC off... ... thoughts..... what needs to be addressed to fix this?????

Are you having any charging, tach, issues? If the pcm sees no speed signal it can interrupt compressor operation. Other wise, most common problem would be the cycling switch not closing or the clutch getting weak.

U can jump the cycling switch and see if it engages if not thats alot of codes and a couple of them make me wonder how good the truck is running a ECM could be the problem, with all thoses diffrent codes sounds like the Ecm is just throwing random codes which is a sign of a ECM starting to fail.

This has happened on my 3rd genner . Check for wires rubbing and shorting to ground . This puts you in a limp mode with limited boost too. The ECU signal output voltage is 5 volts so so any screw ups just throws codes . Check the wastegate . P. S. sharp AC tech
