can this swap be done?

Well I just bought a '92 cummins. The auto transmission in it is shot. I would like to put a manual in it. I have a '94 F250 with a 460 and a ZF 5-speed that I can steal the transmission out of. I have a buddy who bolted a cummins to a ZF in a ford truck, has anybody ever put a ZF in a dodge?

i just read about a guy who put a zf in his J20, behind a 4b. he used an adapter that turned the dodge into a ford bolt pattern. not sure what you will do for the clutch, that might be your biggest headache. call some clutch companys, check this site's sponsors and links for some.

I put a Ford NP435 on a Getrag bellhousing. It bolts directly to it. I did use the large F500 input shaft. It has the same spline as the NV5600. I used a early 13" getrag pressure plate and a NV5600 13" disc. The only custom piece is the pilot bushing, which I am making from a piece of bronze. The bronze is available from Enco Machinery.

Thanks for the replys. I posted in the conversions also. Another problem is they are both 4x4s, so I will have to deal with the transfer case also. Any ideas there? I appreciate the help, I know nothing about the first gens.
