in there PDF file they provide, it says it can be set-up for a 4 speed. Does our trans have a linkage? or is it all by electronics?

It should work. You will need to relocate your OD off button if you are going to remove your shifter from the column. You will also need to drill a large hole in the floor for the cable. If you want more pics of the linkage on the Red Rocket (truck in pic above from Hoss) let me know. :)

I have that same shifter on my Ford Ranger with a 5. 0 and AOD transmission. It works great and you can sift all 4 gears. It wasnt so clear when I talked to the guy on the phone but after I got it and read the instructions it was clear. When you have it in 1st and shift to 2nd you can allmost imediatly pull it back down to 1st and it will hold 2nd then you can shift up again to 3rd then go from 3rd to OD. Im not sure if are trannys will do that 1st to 2nd then back to 1st shift and still hold 2nd. Hope yall can understand that, if not you can drive my ranger and figure it out becuse thats how I had to figure it out.

You might want to check into that a little more. I think that works on the Ford AOD but won't on these. One more piece of info that you might already know, it's called 1-2 shuffle. It can do some serious damage to your auto transmission. I still remember some things from my Mustang days. :D

lmills just wondering put did you see the link i posted? I know dodge hasnt changed there automatic trans since 98 47 then 48 now... . So im pretty sure it can be done, i agree with you on screwing up the trans but thats a chance ill take.

Actually, I think the shifter will work with our transmission. You just need to make some provisions for the OD button. The post I put was in regards to how he is shifting his AOD in his ranger. Shifting from 1st to 2nd then pulling back to 1st is an old trick to hold the gears for racing with the AOD. It however can do severe damage to the AOD.
