i have a 3208 in my motor home and am not going back with another

i have a 5. 9 intercooled with allison and air compresser with all to install

but 190 hp is not going to move 33,ooo very easy like the old cat at 210hp

help me tweak the cummins so i can run it

i think it would be great Oo. to have a 5. 9 at that hp level because of the fit !

33,000 lbs  Too bad you don't have a 8. 3 to go in it's place. Thats alot of weight for a "B". What are the specs on your motorhome?

Does your coach have quite a large radiator? Finding the HP to move the coach may be easy, and keeping EGTs cool may be not too tough either, but keeping the coolant temp in check may tend to be a problem, I'm not sure how big of a cooling system it has. I'm guessing it will be adequate.

35' bluebird

has a huge rad

hp is needed to make it happen

i can get more cooling

not quite enought room for 8. 3 but i guess i will if i have too

OK... ... ... you have a 5. 9 and want 325 HP. What determines which way to go, is what year is it.

And the 5. 9 is twice the engine the cat you have now is.

its a 95 out of another bluebird bus

p-7100 pump intercooled

i have all to make it fit right so that would be easy and i have a 654 allison in the bus

so it will be better than the 545

i just need the power to make it work

i would think that i can do marine pistons and 370 with twins and have a great running bus ... ...

i have room to mount another rad under the bus to help cool!

325 HP is the easy part. Gettin it in place is the worst. You have a smaller pump than the "bad" pumps, 96,97, 98. In my 94, 370 HP injectors, spring kit, timing at 20*, and re-torqued the head, I dyno'd at 377. Oh, and I did remove the wategate actuator to weld the thing shut. I did a good number of other things but they had nothing to do with power.

. . Preston. .

the problem is to get that 300-350 hp and hold it egt and temp

anybody know how to set it up at that hp level and make the hp and not come apart?

i have a 98 12v with a 100 plate and springs in the pickup so i know it gets hot when loaded... ...

ex bus teck

the thing with the MH like a school bus is that hardly use the 325hp for long periods of time. But if u are hitting the hill and pulling you might. I would get the pump turned up, bump up the timing, put in big inj. a high flow air to air and exhaust. if you have LP on the MH use it. I thank you can get a single turbo to get 325hp. at work we have VGT turbos i would like to get a vgt to work without a computer. they make life fun.

I really don't think the egt's will be a problem. I told you what I have and the only thing I did for heat was a 14 exhaust housing. I don't use a wastegate either. I tow 15,000 and the only time I see anything upwards of 1300 is in the hills, if I let my rpm's get low. Otherwise, I stay at 1000-1100 on the exhaust. Empty, open flat land, I stay at 650. It's really all about the foot and how hard you use it.

But the best thing you can do for egt's, is a large exhaust housing and pipe.

. . PT. .

654 allison with lockup

tell me more

i have the same tran in my f-800 with 8. 3 and i know it will work but not enought

room in the bus with out mucho mods

but i have ran out west loaded 57,ooo to salt lake from fla and it works good!

but the bus is not drove but maybe 10,000 miles a yr but it is a flat ft and a wind cather

if i thought i could keep the 5. 9 togather i will do it and spend the $$ on the mods

heard lots of problems with 5. 9 in motor homes when you get the hp up and working good... ...

what size inj. turbo. ect for the best hp at 2500 rpm all day!! a

guess i need to call peirs. . or >>>>>>>>>

who has done this in a mtr home and made it work?

thanks Oo. Oo. Oo.
