Can you compress both brake pistons at same time?

My question is pretty much in the title... . I've read about using a C-clamp to compress the brake pistons back (after opening a bleeder valve... assuming you didn't snap yours off ). Can you use something to cover both pistons and compress them both at the same time?

Use the old pads to push them back in.

Yes. As mentioned above, one of the old pads works well.

Its funny becuase I found a piece of metal that I used instead of the old pad... . and now I'm wondering why I didn't think of that!:-laf

I always do 1 at a time without opening the bleeder, my preference. I live in the NE and bleeders will usually break off.

After all the pistons are pushed in I remove all the brake fluid from the master cylinder and refill with new dot 3~4. Brake fluid attracts and holds moisture and can cause the anti-lock system to malfunction. Installing new fluid will keep the brake system HAPPY!
