Is this one of those threads that we should ignore? I'm on-line using my Verizon cell phone now, so it takes me longer to properly ignore threads.

Actually, I think it's kind of a cool comercial. Kind of like the kid on the Dell comercials. Of course, I can still find plenty of places that my Verizon phone doesn't work.

The Verizon commercial would have been ok except I thought they copied the idea from another commercial, think for the Wall St Journal where a kid says "can you here me now" over and over into a doctor's stethoscope.

Just be glad if you have Verizon, Qwest sucks.

illflem around here we call it qworst. I drop calls going down the interstate when I go through a low spot. Guess I can justify a lift kit now!

A real test would be if he would disonnect and try redialing each time. If I see him walking through my area, I'll beat him up and take the phone and do some of my own 'testing'.

Sprint PCS is not any better. I live on top of a slight rise 1/3 mile off of US 64 just east of Raleigh - main artery for most of eastern NC traffic - and cannot use my phone unless I sit out in the front yard. Had AT&T for a while but could go 1 mile to east or south of my house and hit dead air - no signal whatsoever, not even roam.

I like the idea of Nextel but they don't go into Virginia yet and drop out once you get out of major metropolitan areas.

Technology - ya' gotta' love it, although nowadays it is more of a bipolar relationship (love-hate-reconciliation-litigation-get on Jerry Springer Show-kind of thang).
