Just wondering if its possible to hook up a aftermarket amp to a factory Radio/CD/Cass in a Laramie SLT

I am more than likely buying a 97 Club Cab Laramie SLT this weekend, and I was wondering if its possible to do this because I cannot afford a aftermarket CD player right now. However I do have the amp and subs already so just wondering if I will have to wait to enjoy my sound system fully again.

Thanks,

Mark

Yes you can. It's not the best way clarity wise, but will work while you save the money up for a better head unit. If your amp has high-level inputs, you can just tap into the speaker leads and feed it this way. Or if it only has rca inputs, you can by a high-level to low-level converter which gets it's signal from the speakers and converts it to a rca output to feed your amp. The better ones have gain adjustments on them and sound pretty good. Should be able to get one for under $50.
