I need to know if you can wax chrome stacks,... . with out the worry of discoloring the stacks. I waxed them today for the first time but now don't know if/what that I have to remove the wax, for fear of the turning color. Any suggestions/ideas ?
I have found that waxing chrome will actually turn the chrome a different color. If you clean it with any wax based produce like Never Dull make sure you get all the wax off.
I don't have stacks, but I like to use Turtle Wax Chrome Polish. It works well on tarnished or even rust speckled chrome. A little elbow grease will remove the rust speckles and it'll look new again.
Waxing will only turn chrome a different color if it gets hot. Like Exhaust. If you are waxing step rails or some other accessory's on you truck go for it.
