Is the Canadian Hwy 99 a decent road in the winter, we are looking to go to Whistler BC
Have been as far as Vancouver BC, but never up Hwy 99, wouldn't think it would be to bad with as many people that go there for the same reason as we are going!!
It's a fine road, there are times when it can be dicey, such as during snow storms, and where there are rock falls. The road got a big fix up prior to the lest winter Olympics.
have fun, enjoy the trip.
Thanks Grizz hope ya and the Mrs. had a great New Year's
Ive been looking at some pictures of the Whistler area looks like it will be lots o fun on the back country skiing the others will like the downhill, I tried it with the new leg and was doing good until a tree became a magnet and I was metal. Don't want to be a Sonny Bono, so I will take my camera and do some Cross-Country skiing and photo shooting.
Be safe out there BIG. Take pictures and enjoy the scenery.
Mrs. grizz and I had a very good Christmas and New Years. We had all the kids and grandkids over.
We'll be going right through Whistler BC on our way to Hyder, Alaska and on to Cassier Highway to meet the Alcan Hwy to take us into the Alaska mainland in late July.
