can't decide

I need some help deciding which fueling box to put on my truck. I was thinking about tst or edge ez , is the tst worth the extra money. Which box is easier to egt's in check. I have a 04 3500 srw, 48re with afe pro guard7 intake & torque tube & silver line 4"duals. I tow a 11,000lb trailer in Az. Any opinions would appreciated. thanks Mike

I would go with the tst. Get the gauges, and keep it set low. It takes alot of self control, but at least you have something to grow into. Is enough really enough? Lee.

I forgot to mention I do have the X monitor. What setting could I use when towing, must beat my uncles duramax to the top

My vote is for the van Aaken pressure box. I would dare say it's one of the finer if not finest pressure boxes available, even though I haven't tried one. It's easier on the injection system with its pressure curves, gives you 2 power levels selectable on-the-fly in the cab (as well as ability to turn it off).



I think the pressure boxes give you better power vs. EGTs than the duration boxes.



With that said I tried a EZ box and liked it a lot

Anything adjustable is good because you can tune it down for towing and still crank it up to mess with that duracrack at the stoplight. If thats not your game, I think that any box will help you as long as you are sane (which I am not) with the right pedal it shouldn't give you any problems. Had an ez and took it off for the 100 hp ramifier. I like power, but to each their own. The edge is adustable (not on the fly) 40 - 70 hp. I tow with the ramifier and an egt gauge and have no problems as long as I am willing to negotiate with the right pedal. There is a post on here somewhere about the different fueling boxes. Do a search and you should turn it up. Good luck.

I'm with Vaughn on the VA. Great for towing, a little disapointing for hot rodding. Power comes on about 1600 and pulls strong to 2600. I pull about the same size trailer as you and I am quiet satisfied with the towing performance. EGT is almost a non-issue with this box and at 4 bills it's easy on the wallet too.
