Wow, I know the economy is funny right now but geez! I can't even sell either of two vehicles offered for sale for the past 6 months.

Here it is Colorado snow country and can't find a buyer for a All-wheel Drive 94 Jeep GC Limited with $1. 5k off blue book?!?? Then I think, "great! I'll keep the Jeep and sell the Mrs's car (94 Nissan Altima GXE). Whoohoo, that way I get to keep the toy AND the "Big Truck". " Nothing... ... Tried ads in local newspaper (5 runs), the Denver Post (twice), the Thrifty Nickel (Auto Trader-out here), and signs in the window. WHADDAMIDOINWRONG?

Don't misunderstand, tons of calls, even appointments to come see vehicles, but not a single person has bothered to show up to even see them.

:--)

Anyway, thanks for letting me rant, I feel better now. Place on hard flat surface and hit head here-->.

:D

I hear ya

Don't feel bad Brian, I have the same luck when it comes to selling stuff, that's why I end up trading vehicles in, even though I take it in the shorts. The last vehicle I tried to sell, sounds like a similar experience to what you're having. I ended up taking it down to Sacramento, 300 miles away and my brother-in-law had it unloaded in 3 days. Sorry part of it was, the day before he sold it, a phone solicitor called with a proposal and guarantee to advertise and sell my vehicle through mass advertising on the internet. After spending the $50, I got the call that the my brother-in-law sold it; however, I decided to let the ad continue to run just to see how many responses that $50 got. One call out of the three months the ad ran. One f-ing call.

I'm sure this doesn't help you at all, but I too, needed to vent. :D

You can always donate them to a Charity... . a few large ones do thtis, come and pick it up... You get no money, but can right off the Book Value of vehicle... Don't think it is 100% but could be worth it... .

I know the situation. Been trying to sell a 98 Lincoln here in Cheyenne. I think what has happened is since last fall with the 0% financing, everyone who could afford it bought new. Most people are looking at monthly payment amounts and they can get a new vehicle for the same or less monthly payment at 0% as to buy a used vehicle and pay 7. 9% or more. Plus in my experience selling anything, it either has to be fairly unique or priced to be a steal to get anyone to take it. When you say 1. 5 under blue book are you talking retail or trade in. I think a person has to price it at trade in value or less to get a bite.

wyosteve-That's under the private party listing of Kelly Blue Book so I think that's the equiv of retail. It's down with trade in value anyway now though. :(

If it weren't for the fact that charity won't help pay my credit card debt, I'd have dumped it off already. Gotta pay them off though... ... Need to free them up for some important stuff..... like a cap, camper, and umm, vehicle enhacements... :D ;)
