I have tired of my custom fit carpeted mats already. I want a more functional mat so for me that means:

  • Rubber for ease of cleaning
  • Waffle pattern on top to hold dirt
  • Spikes on bottom to stay in place
  • Dark slate to match my color
  • A nice Ram or Dodge Emblem is a plus

I don't care for the "deep" mats that will hold a ton of dirt, I think they are harder to clean and don't like the feel under my feet. Logos that are placed in high wear areas turn dirty real fast so off to the side is nice.

I like to hose em off, maybe a quick scrub with a brush & soap. . rinse and toss em back in. Who's got em?

You can do a search, but I think folks have said that

Geno's carries a mat set that has the Ram emblem on it. I went for the Husky Liners for the front and rear of my '05 from Cabela's... same place I purchased the gray ones for my '99 when it was new. I just traded it off and the carpet looked like new in it despite 6 winters here in Omaha.

My $. 02 worth.

Husky liners for me also, real easy to clean, vaccum out the heavy debris and take a damp cloth and wipe them clean.

I have a set of fox weatherboots. They are totally top notch in every way. The water carried in by your feet runs out the door, and they remove easily for cleaning. The all weather carpet they use is also adhesive backed and replaceable for like $15 when it starts to get worn.

Check them out: http://www.foxweatherboots.com/

Attached is a pic of the set I had in my 96.

I have the exact mats that you are talking about, they are mopar slush mats. They have everything that you describe, I think I paid 75 bucks for the front pair, they are a little high in price, but I really like them. Corey

Running the Huskies from Geno`s front and back. Put em in just in time, was visiting family for Christmas. Wife jumps in passenger side with dog Sh-t on BOTH feet. I made her jump out hose the mat off in the 30 degree temp, did I mention it was nighttime? Couldnt have done that with the fuzzy mats.

How does anyone step in Sh-t with both feet?

Here is another vote for Fox Weatherboots. I have had them for 4 years now and they are 100% better in every aspect than the Husky liners with the exception of price, they are twice the cost of Husky's. From now on I will not own a truck without a set of Weatherboots. They only come in black, which may be a drawback for some but it didn't bother me.

Do the Huskys really look like this?

That pic from Geno's shows an edge that looks pretty deep & unfinished, looks more like the rubber pan my Mom use to have under her dish drainer.

Yes. They are pretty flimsy IMHO but they work well for some. I didn't like the snow melting off my boots and sloshing around on the mat.

Classic Motofreak I love it!

Hey Corey, thanks for the name "mopar slush mats" I did a quick google and found these

Probably the same ones you have, look pretty good. The Husky's have that outer lip for liquid but these sure look pretty nice.

Now if someone only had a mat like these with just a little lip on the edge and the logo DODGE in red, that would be sweet but I may have to settle with these.

I'm using the X-treme's and don't really care for them. I still manage to get the floor wet and dirty. I think I will be buying a differant set soon.

I've had both the husky liners and the mopar slush mats and i think the mopars are the way to go,,,,, but i dont like the slush mats for the 3rd gen as much as i like the ones for the 2nd gen

I got a some Huskys from Genos up frount driverside, center and pasenger . The center piece even had a spot marked out for the tranfer case shifter if you have the shifter you cut it out and it goes right over it . I need to order the rears I have also had the same pair of husky liners in my Bronco for over 4 years :D

I have the Husky's front and rear and would definitely go with the FOX if I were to do it again. The Husky's in my 3rd gen don't give me as much coverage as I would prefer.

I really like my mopar slush mats, they always keep my floor dry. Call me cheap or whatever but I'm still using my 2nd gen slush mats in my 3rd gen, not an exact fit but they still cover most everything. The slush mats that I have have a ram heads logo designed in the slush mats and I believe that the 3rd gens do too.
