On monday I was hauling heavy about 18,000lbs of sod on my goose. was going aroud a slight curve and the truck shifted. it felt as if the axel shifted in the u bolts. luckily I was less than a 1/4 mile from were i was unloading. Makeing a slow turn felt a large shift and a loud clunk. felt like my flatbed was going to come off. now unloaded the truck will do the same one way and then back the other. I have inspected every possible thing I can think it might be. pulled both axels no wear on ether and the bearins are perfict. pulled the pumpkin cover checked all the bearing and gears with no sign of wear. under the truck there is no sign of shifting in the u bolts the springs have not moved and the bed is welded so good it will never move. Any ideas would be helpfull . losing buisness in kentucky.

Check your leaf spring perches (mounts to the frame), the bushings in the eye at each spring end, the rear hangers, broken shock tower (goes from one side of frame to the other) and the cross supports from the L to R frame rails - particullarly where your goose peg/5th wheel? is welded/mounted?

Not sure if you are 4 X 4 as no signature, if you are check the front shocks and control arms from the frame to housing. Sounds like it would be more in the rear though - good luck.

Go to your the main pull down (Discussion Forums) select "User Control Panel", select "Edit Signature" and enter your information, preview then save. You probably made same mistake I did at first and entered information in "Truck Profile" instead of signature.

Let me / us know how you make out with the "Clunk".
