I am trying to get the front axle nuts off of my 99 4x4. Have tried breaker bar, liquid wrence, and a torch. No luck. Do these nuts have left hand threads, by any chance? Any ideas? I need to change out the rotors.

I changed my hubs and they were right handed threads, (and the nuts were TIGHT).

The size (for mine) was 1 11/16". My truck is a 97 /2500 /4x4. Just an extra note. . be careful when and if you remove the axles not to damage the seals, as they are in the axles right next to the diff. and you need a spreader to remove the complete diff. to replace them. (again my truck is a 97 so I'm not sure if your 99 is exactly like mine in the front end area). I hope this helps.

Go to your local tire store and they have the tools to do the job.

A inpact gun is nice my buddy has a electric inpact have not used it but could be great. I bet someone put them on with a inpact and to tight seen this happen.

We tried 2 big air impacts and a cordless impact and they did not budge. I had to stand on a 4 ft. cheater pipe and bounce to get my loose. I guess my 230 lbs x 4 foot cheater x me bouncing = chrysler factory torque rating :D
