OK let me have it. I must be doing something wrong. It's start with the key off then turn on-off-on-off-on, allowing the odometer numbers to display @ each on cycle . . . . right? If so, why do I only see the mileage? Even if there are no codes present isn't there a general code, which lets you know you've reached the code display sector?

Maybe you are going too slow during the on-off process. I do it with no pauses, just a steady on-off-on, etc.

If there are no codes, it will not show the normal odometer display, it will go through a 4 or 5 step sequence that you won't mistake for the mileage.

Good Luck!

That feature was introduced sometime during the '99 model year according to reading I have done. Error codes won't show up on mine either. I got a Cummins QuickCheck device to check my error code, and it works great! Other alternatives include going to the dealer, Cummins shop, shop with a compatible scanner, or a TDR meeting that has someone with a QuickCheck or other compatible scanner. Sorry for the bad news :(

Ditto

Mine was built in March 99, took delivery in May and have not been able to get mine to do it either. My wife's 00 will do it. On her's, it is off-on-off-on-off-on, without letting the odometer display mileage. Her's will not work if you wait and let the mileage display while it is on. I am going to try mine again. :p
