Thanks! I bought the truck after my wife went deer hunting with my car. She got an 8 point buck.

Sure is a pretty site. Just got the call from dealer mine is finally in - problem is can't get it until next week. I've seen afew around with various nerf bars and running boards - its a tough choice. I guess what it comes down to is what do you like best? I would look around and take your time - check out as many trucks as you can and you will know what you like and don't like. When its all said and done you'll know what looks best for you and your truck. Computers are great when it comes down to seeing various manufacturers. I have come acroos a few that were posted on this site but don't remember the URL's. You can probably do a search. Good luck with your decision and post the new pics when you finally decide.

Check out KwikKurts dual stacks. . they look cool and sound just as good. They are 5" from the turbo thru a 5" muffler and thru the bed... They are great...

Kwikkurts stacks are very ... but I have a farm and use the bed way too much. I like the perf mods to be stealthy



I'm evem thinking of developing a quiet 4" exhaust. Blasphemy, I know. I spend too much time in the cab for noise but i still want the ponies



I'm thinking twin mufflers behind the axle??? any ideas?

As far as running boards. Might as well get a set that go with the rest of the add-ons. I put these on my truck about a year ago. Functional, and look good. One word of caution though, getthem powdercoated or line-Xed before you install them. The paint does not handle the rocks very well.

5" from turbo to muffler (5" i/o) into 5" 'Y' pipe and dumped right behind rear wheels. . then 5" chrome turn downs...







That is food for thought. .

Nerf bars

The ones on gitchesum's rig would look good with the bumpers that you have. He didn't say what brand they were or if they were custom made. but they do look good on the Dooley.

I've got the black Westin step bars on my 2500 Sport and they are very good quality and low priced. If they get chipped, just spray them with some bar-b-q black and your good to go.

I was thinking 4" . . but 5" to twin 4" mufflers w 5" tips out the back. .

as for the steps. . I have a friend with a fab shop. I'm thinking of making some stout enough to jack the truck up by. put notches for a high lift jack in them. . whatdoyathink?

Got Tired of washing them. Did you paint yours or just take off the simulators?

My truck is a '98. 5 and came with the bright silver rims.



I took fine grit wet sand automotive sandpaper and sanded all the clear coat, and silver paint off the rims. (I took the front tires off to sand, and left the duals on to sand them. )



I then took some oil based black spray paint and painted 'em all black, then popped on the chrome center caps. Wallah,, Instant DEA/Narc/Undercover cop Dodge Ram 3500.

With the camper it's an undercover goverment vehicle,, without the camper it's an official "drag strip" truck,, or stop light to stop light.
