Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Can’t locate lift pump for 2002 HO 3500

I have a 2002 HO 3500 6spd that began losing power (fuel pressure gauge would read ½ to 2 psi on acceleration). I took it back to the Dodge dealership and was told that it needs both a low pressure transfer (lift?) pump and a high pressure injection pump. The truck only has 40K miles so it was covered under warranty but the problem is that they can not locate the transfer pump. According to the dealer they have checked with every dealership in the US with no luck. All they can say is that is on back-order with no idea of a delivery date. Does anyone know where a factory authorized replacement could be found for this?

Tell them you want a F. A. S. S. fuel transfer pump on it back by the tank, on the outside of the frame rail, they can install it, and you retain your warrenty.

call your local Cummins dealer, they should be able to get you one if they don't have one in stock



or better yet put a RASP on it with a big line kit and forget about it.

Whatever you do DO NOT let the dealer install an in-tank pump, they are junk.
