Can't make up my mind

The Wife finally gave the green light for new exhaust. Now I cant figure out what I want. I don't currently have a heat problem but I am planing on installing DD2's in the future. The two choices I'm stuck between are the 5in kit without a muffler from Big Exhaust, or a set of 5 to 6in stacks. My question is can anyone give me the pro's and con's of both systems as the Boss has said I can't get both so I've gotta get it right the first time.

Unless you're putting out more than 500 HP, I don't think you would need a 5" exhaust. 4" exhaust would work well, but may not look at cool.



I'm running a 4" exhaust with a 5" SS tip from Jardine with a muffler and a resonator. Very quiet and good performance for the money. I also heard good things about Rips exhaust.



Remember it is only money... .

One more thing... . Based on what Joe Donnelly wrote in the latest TDR mag... . the restriction would be at the turbo exhaust housing so a 5" exhaust may not help much.



Going to a full 4" or larger turbo exhaust housing would certainly help. I'm running a PDR HX40-16 turbo with a 4" down pipe. Works very well with DD2 and a comp box.
