Competition Building My Twins

Need Help, I Have Been To Three Different Pulls, Got Beat By Automatic Powerstrokes Every Time, Getting Outpulled By 6-10 Ft And Cant Get Past 3rd Place. . 2003 2500 Laramie 6spd, Tst Twins Program, Ts Ramifier, 25psi Fuel At The Filter, 40-16, Ht3b Twins, Pulling In 3rd Gear 4-low, Need That 4th Gear Launch, Truck Defuels In 3rd At About 40 Ft Then Bounces Off The Rev Limiter All The Way Till The End, They Wont Let You Shift In These Pulls... unless You Have An Auto, At Least Im Not Losin To The Dmax Boys... , Also My Clutch Wont Let Me Start In 4th

A clutch will definatlly make a huge difference, pulling in 3rd low with a 6spd against an automatic is like a turtle at a horse race especially if you have low gears with a good pulling clutch you should easilly be able to run 4low or maybe even 2hi.

what is the best pulling clutch that i can use with my stock slave cylinder, which is the most streetable as this truck is a daily driver, every thing on this truck needs to be reliable everyday!!!!!

HMmmmmm - "this truck is a daily driver, every thing on this truck needs to be reliable everyday"...

... And you are using it in SLEDPULLS? :p :p

Somethin' WRONG with this picture... :-laf :-laf :-laf

I pulled RV trailers to major sled pulls for a number of years, was competitive, drove home then used my truck for daily transportation. No real problems if I did my part... . Get a good dual disc sled pulling clutch, put on some non-agressive 35" tires and gear up on the transmission. Third gear low won't beat any Duramax here, fourth low might beat a few easy guys, go to second gear on the high side of the transfer and you will beat the Fords but since you have 3. 73 or 4. 10 gears the CTD's with 3. 54's are going to give you fits... ... ... ... ..... Larry

i am not a rich boy everything i have is from working mad overtime, i also do all my own work, that is why i work and play with the same truck this truck is no trailer queen, thanks for the information, double disk it is

Scott (Big Bad Dodge) pulls in 4 low/direct (your fifth). His truck was still a daily driver last fall. You just need more speed :D
