Can't send Private Message to illflem

Does anyone know why my modem connections hangs up everytime I try to send or reply to a private message. I was able to send a PM the other day and I did receive a reply, but now I can't respond to it. I have been trying for 2 days.



Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, John.





PS illflem, I would like to be put on the NW KDP Jig list. If I am not able to send a PM, then I may need your e-mail address so that I can send you the information that you need.

There is an option in Outlook, if that is what you are using, that will hang you up if you send, recieve or update your email program.



You have to start Outlook and at the menu pick Tools, then Options. At the bottom third of the window, there is a place that says something about Hang up when finished sending, recieving or updating your email. If there is a check in the box, remove it.



Help INFO from Windows Outlook for the Hang up feature:



Closes the dial-up networking connection after connecting to the server, downloading new messages, and sending messages in the Outbox. Selecting this option reduces your online connection time to the minimum.



If you dont use Outlook, most email programs have the same feature. You just have to look around.

Thanks for the reply Barryg41. I tried a test PM message on my work computer and everything worked fine. The problem must be on my home computer. I use netscape on both computers. Thanks for your time, John.
