Anyone have any ideas on why I have trouble starting when hot. This began just after I replace a lift pump that was only putting out 4 lbs pressure. Probably coincidental but I don't know.

When cold the truck starts just fine. After it heats up then becomes hard to start requiring much cranking. If I let it cool back down it will crank right up again.

Truck is a 99 in stock configuration. Thanks in advance.

very common problem, probably blown diaphram in vp44. give ken imler diesel or orangevale diesel a call they can help.

thanks, greg

Sounds like an air leak. Check the input fuel line at LP (loose or bad copper washers) and flex lines for cracking.

See if you have any codes. I hope your VP44 is OK.
