Dodge Dakota Dead

Hello, Dodge...

In that case I want a 4 REAL doors, a stright front axle for 4x4.

As for the engine... non-common rail injected Cummins Diesel with the Cummins ECM, and P7100 pump, and a wastegate set at 45psi on the HX40. Bigger injectors too!!:D:D:D

I think what is ironic, is look how many have issues with dealerships. Take a gander at the local BBB and other cnsumer groups. People try to sue the dealerships on a regular basis. Maybe the stealerships should wake up and see that they are truely dirt-bags. Of course there are great dealers out there. It seems that the ones for chrysler are the non-5star dealers.

My wife has a Mazda. :( We've had no big problems, but whenever we go to the dealer, they "cant reproduce the complaint". What BS!!!

I had to take the mechanic in the car myself and show him. Problem still isnt solved. We went the regional manager route. Still unsolved.

The car itself aint a bad car, but the service sucks voilently!!!

I wouldnt purchase her another Mazda on that alone.

Come to think of it, the dealer where I bought this truck wasnt too good either. I was there multiple times for the same problem etc. etc. (steering box still sucks)

I finally went to the local guy in my town (that was adding $4K to the sticker prices when I was shopping for it) and he resolved the problem first try. He told me there was a TSB on my complaint, and he didnt know why the other guy couldnt find it.

BTW where I got it was a 5 star dealer. :p

From what I have heard about this dealership over the years, I'm not at all surprized at what happened. What does surprize and impress me is the overwhelming national and international reaction of thousands of consumers. This really is "power to the people!"

Dodge if your reading this

My truck has no modifications at all every thing in my signature is just a Big lye. (I sware it is):D

No, not realy my dealer is a small family owned buisness and they realy take care of there customers. They have managed to look the other way when they seen my Power Max 2 and really looked the other way when they seen the BHAF:eek:

I've had really good service from them and they always try to please everyone because most of their buisness is repeat customers.

OK I'm done kissing the dealer's a$$.

I've had the worst luck with dealerships... . 27 visits to a Ford dealership trying to get a little 4 cylinder Ranger to get better than 9-11 mpg. It was getting 28 mpg when I bought it. That was the worst incident. Two more Ford trucks after that, and 3 different dealerships couldn't fix various problems with them.

I gave up and got a Dodge.

This is my second new Dodge truck. It developed a vibration in it a couple months ago. Two different Dodge dealers, including the biggest one in Kentucky, Freedom Dodge, failed to find the problem. Dave Mitchell at Enterprise Engine found the problem in less than ten minutes. It was the U-joints. You'd think they could have found something that simple.

To be fair, it's something I should have found myself, but the symptoms were strange, everyone who test drove the truck insisted the problem was in the front end, plus the way the joints were worn out, they had a way of locking themselves in position so that there was no play when you tried to move the driveshaft.

Then there's the time I took it to Hatfield Dodge in my hometown, and told them my lift pump was dead. They insisted if the truck was still running, then it was okay. I showed them my fuel pressure gauge. They still didn't get it.

I gave up and bought one from Cummins, installed it myself.

No wonder Japanese cars are selling like water in Death Valley, everyone knows they need to buy a car that won't have problems in the first place, cause they know the dealerships can't fix them !!!

Wow, that was an interesting read. . (yes, I did read ALL 30 pages... it took 2+ hours)

To sum it up in a nutshell the dealership:

1) ignored customer complaints

2) banned customer from dealership

3) service advisor cancelled customer’s fiancee's service appointment and suggested that she take her business elsewhere (she owns a new beetle)

4) threatened legal action

5) sued customer (a classic SLAPP) for posts made on the VWVortex web forum

The dealer was not reading the forum, the customer E-mailed the link to them to illustrate the OVER 100    posts from other people complaining about this dealership's customer service.

The dealer did drop the lawsuit and is seeking an amiable solution to the issue at a meeting this Friday.

BTW, there are posts on this subject on over 120 auto-enthusiast forums  around the world representing all vehicle manufacturers. (This number comes from people registering on the VWVortex to post their support and listing where they linked in from)

Later,

Joe
