Any tips for towing in the mountains?

Exhaust Brake

Looking for a trailer that can be used to transport a car and have RV type space. Basicly an over grown toy hauler than can handle a car. Anyone with experience with this area? (4000 lb car)

We are in the process of having some trailer built for work to haul aircraft fuselages in (we are a very light jet manufacturer). I have been working with a number of manufacturers. Pace, Featherlite, Sundowner, and many more make race trailers with living quarters. They can run from the basic to over $600k!

Try:

www.paceamerican.com

www.sundownertrailer.com

www.fthr.com (featherlite)

There's more. Just google "Car Hauler" and you'll get lot's of hits.

Good luck on your search.

depending on the size of the car in question and what hitch setup you want,tag-a-long/ gooseneck? , check out Haulmark trailers, I was looking at a gooseneck type with like a either 20 or 24 box with small living quarters up front, nice unit, Ibelieve it was either 34 or 36 foot total,,HIllwood trailer Sales in Gainesville, Va , had one on their lot last yr

Stay away from RV based toyhaulers - get a car trailer with living quarters. A lot of toyhaulers will claim/spec the capacity to haul a 4000 lb car but after looking at trailers for over 1 year with the goal of finding something that would handle my 4000 lb CJ-7 I figured out the RV based toyhaulers just weren't up to the task and I couldn't afford a car hauler w/living quarters.

TPD makes some nice trailers - there out of Sacramento I think.

Do a search on my user name here and you should find several threads. Also, check www.pirate4x4.com and search on user brian4wd to get more threads.
